Mark is a premiated fellow of the McIntosh School of Architecture of The University of Glasgow where he graduated with distinction.

He commenced his international architectural career in Hong Kong in 1994 in the vibrant studios of DCM where, under James Gibson, the Design Director and managing partner, he was already emerging as an inspirational design leader within a dynamic team. In more recent years and following over 20 years of experience at the highest level, Mark is openly recognized for his achievements as the key design director of many award winning projects on a global basis.

His diversity of design experience has seen him work extensively in Asia Pacific and in the UK, as the author for major projects across all sectors of architectural development and urban design.

In parallel with emergence of DCMSTUDIOS as a leading design firm in the Asia Pacific region, Mark established and furthered a successful UK practice where he and James Gibson are continuing directors, working closely on numerous projects in the European arena.

Mark retains a unique ability to nurture and develop talent, which has lead him to combine professional practice with academic leadership, teaching and mentoring on an international stage in China , South East Asia and the UK.

Whether it is with clients or in the studio, Mark is a collaborative and fully engaged design leader, where his fluent drawing and communication skills provide a credible resource through which our clients can add immeasurable value to the most important development projects in the region.
